On National Pet Memorial Day (September 13, 1998), Kelly Publishing is launching a new Web site devoted exclusively to cats. www.catscans.com will be the place for cat owners to display a biography and a photograph of their favorite feline on the Web!

The new Web site will include world maps and interactive areas where visitors can read about the cats and their owners. The site will also contain information on veterinary medicine, cat products, cat trivia, shelters and more.

For people who own cats, the cats are part of their family! The Cat Scans Web site was developed to help cat owners share their favorite felines with the world! Owners are encouraged to submit biographies and photos of cats still enjoying their nine lives...as well as those who may have passed on and deserve a loving tribute.

The goal at Cat Scans is to one day have every household cat pictured on the Web site. (We like to think big...but we ask cat owners to have their cat spayed or neutered to make this totally unrealistic goal somewhat possible!)

In celebration of the launch of the new Web site, owners can put their purrfect feline on the Web for three months, for free! Normal yearly charges are $15 per cat (with multiple cat discounts, and with part of our proceeds going to cat charities.)
