Clementine
(Naomi Springall)

Meet Miss Clementine, a 3-year-old tabby/tortoise cross. T'was a crisp winter's day when I wandered into the RSPCA in Melbourne. I had been looking for the right feline companion for many months, so you can imagine my delight when this little creature wandered over to me. For I did not adopt Clemmie - she adopted me. The little bag (as I affectionately call her) obviously knew a soft touch when she saw one.

Clemmie was a starved little waif when I first took her home, having led the life of an alley minx for some time, but I fattened her up quick smart!

Clemmie and I have been together for just over 18 months, and she has charmed the socks off anyone who meets her. She is also a well traveled feline, as I take her with me when I visit my family in Tasmania. Her favorite pastimes include demanding food at all hours of the day and night, ensuring (human) Mum does not miss any important appointments she might have
at 6.00am on a Sunday morning, providing important "bed warming" services to Mum (summer notwithstanding) and ensuring that Mum doesn't receive a large phone bill by meowing at her constantly until she hangs up.

Needless to say I would have a lot more sleep, but would be significantly poorer, were it not for my little bag.
